I'M HERE FOR THE JOY (and the cake)!
After a decade in the industry, my love of photographing couples and weddings continues to grow each year. I think it’s the hopeless romantic in me, but it’s probably my insatiable curiosity. The hundreds of small connections between family and friends, who will likely never all be in the same room at the same time again, is weighty and wonderful.
The good news is, it’s not about me. I can’t tell an honest story if I’m constantly interfering, directing, and manipulating moments. I want your photos to render cherished memories from your day with your people, not memories of your photographer. Working with me will feel comfortable and relaxed. I don't overly pose, but provide gentle guidance in a way that still allows you to be present in the moment. We'll get to know one another throughout the process so by the time the wedding day comes around, my presence won't feel intrusive at all but will feel calm and supportive.
I’m there to tell the beautiful and imperfect story as it unfolds. As time goes on and the details get fuzzy, you'll look back on the photos and things will be even sweeter in your memories. I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older, this is always how life goes.

2026 wedding packages begin at $4400
all packages include:
- a complimentary engagement session
- a minimum of eight hours of wedding day coverage
- assistance and guidance with timeline planning
- trusted vendor referrals
- an online gallery for downloading, sharing, and printing
We’ll discuss which package is right for you in order to adequately tell the story of your wedding day.
Hourly coverage available for micro weddings.
No travel fees within Iowa, Omaha, North Carolina, Denver, and Atlanta. Please inquire about other locations. Travel fees are at-cost and as minimal as possible.

Engagements
An engagement session is optional but always recommended. It gives us a stress-free chance to hang out and get to know each other better before the big day. It always takes people a little while to feel comfortable in front of the camera. This is a fun practice round! Think outside the box. Bookstores, coffee shops, a dive bar, a champagne picnic in the park, a canoe on a pond….the options are endless. Let’s go explore together. I get to see what makes you two tick and we’ll all end up even more excited about your wedding day by the end!

One of my favorite weddings of 2025 at The Tea Room in Des Moines.
Brandon & Emma met on a field trip to DC with schools from the same district. She crushed on him in the security line for the White House. He talked to her at the spy museum. And she snagged a seat beside him on the plane ride home. They shared a pair of headphones and he played Strawberry Swing by Coldplay. That middle school crush turned into a high school romance, a commitment through college, and a wedding 12 years later. It’s not difficult to make a wedding personal and meaningful when you have over a decade of history together.

The Longs on their cattle farm in Nebraska. If it wasn’t so chilly, I would have wanted to hang out here all night, and cuddle that fluffy teddy bear of a calf. This family is so kind and tender and their new baby will be so loved. Plus Garnet is going to be the sweetest little big sister.

Working on edits for families I’ve known since before their children were born is an overwhelming honor. Every single time I add another gallery, I go back through the years, just like I know they will. It’s so incredible to see how everyone has grown (and how my work has progressed!). Witnessing these two parent with so much patience and joy is life-giving. I adore this little sunshine crew and had so much fun.
